Today I had the pleasure of meeting up with Megan and Chris at Hofstra University for their engagement session that was a few months in the planning. I had met Megan at Starbucks a few weeks prior to discuss the details of their upcoming wedding and instantly knew that this bubbly, sweet, and charming girl was going to be a bride I wanted to work with. While showing Megan a sample album we talked about her fiance Chris and how excited she was to be marrying him. How he was stationed over seas in the Navy and couldn’t wait for him to get home. I saw on her face as she spoke about him how deeply she missed him. She remarked while looking at the album that she wanted to skype him right then and there and I knew this couple was going to be something special and like all the couples I have worked with they truly were.
I think the first thing I noticed about Chris was his amazing sense of humor. The smallest glance got Megan laughing and it made for a great dynamic through the whole shoot. I don’t think there was a time while we were shooting that we weren’t laughing. One of the great things for me while posing this amazing couple wasn’t the photographs or the light, or the location. It was watching Megan simply look at her fiance. The man she said yes to. The man she loves. It was crystal clear on her face how much she cares for him and vice versa. It really was amazing to see. By the time our session ended at the beach I knew we got some great images for our couple and a big thank you goes to them for putting up with my little posing notes, and of course Megan’s finger injury while sitting in the grass. ( How do you get injured while sitting on the grass? lol)
A huge thanks goes out to my friend and “assistant” for the day Jackie from Jacquline Rose Photography for helping out today as well and you can check out her work here at
Megan you are going to make a stunning bride and Chris, I can not wait to see you sweep Megan off her feet once again. All the best and enjoy!
